Mai’s coming back from Greece today. Hope she didn’t die.

I should’ve spent this week catching up on sleep, but I didn’t. Instead, I played We Love Katamari and spent more time working on Muffins than I really intended to. Which is a good thing, I suppose.
We’re starting to get donations (and a fair number of them, too), and while I can’t do anything about lag, I can at least do something about the lack of content. I’ve implemented two new companions, the puppy and the dog. Puppy is a donation companion, dog is what it turns into at level 25. Five people have donated for one so far, which is pretty insane. $140 in total in donations so far (all in Mr As, though).

Managed to postpone the university-related annoyance until Monday, at least.

You come from sad whale family deep in ocean!

I’m still alive. >.>

Been getting a fair bit of work done on Muffins recently. Involving more people in testing for no reason at all. Spent many monies on books about PHP. And by many, I mean about 60 €, on two books. One fairly pointless one about security, and one fairly simple but reasonably massive one showing mostly sample code. Haven’t learned much from them, but at least I got reminded of some things I’ve been meaning to do. Gewd stuff.

I also bought Starcraft and SimCity 4 for no money at all (my dad ruined my original Starcraft CD, as I’m sure I mentioned at one point), and We Love Katamari for way too much.
Finished Starcraft and played around with SimCity 4 a lot (inferior to SimCity 3000), but haven’t played Katamari yet. Missing a cable on my VGA box. I think I’ll steal my dad’s for a bit. He’s not using it anyway.

I gave Rouge a copy of the SWBHG code, which he passed on to Nayr, who’s apparently trying to run it locally. I’m not sure that’s even possible, though I guess it probably is. Mmhm.

It’s been raining a lot over here. I’m soggy most of the time. Boo.

Also, Mai is malfunctioning. Send her sympathy of a practical kind.

Gah.

This is what happens when the MySQL process dies.

And yes, that renders pretty much all of Rota Hall useless. The databases went down sometime last night, and it took FOURTEEN HOURS for anyone on Yourspace staff to notice and fix it. Gah.

Anyway, I’ve rewritten parts of some scripts, so at least next time, my error log won’t be flooded into submission. Graceful degradation indeed.
