Mai’s only been gone for ten minutes, and I miss her already. :3
(Edit: Twenty by the time I finished this, I guess.)
She’s one of maybe two people I don’t dislike right now. I’m hoping it’s just boredom that’s making me hate everyone who talks to me. People leaving for Massachussetts isn’t going to help with that.
What kind of a holiday is Memorial Day anyway?
Anyway.
It’s been a while since I talked about KoL.
I completed Gourdcore on my main a few days ago. Now going for Golden Meat Stack. Three sex changes away from Gender Bender, dunno if that’s worth getting. Could easily add another day to my current run.
My skillset now allows me to move through ascensions reasonably quickly (i.e. one per six days or so), but circumstances keep keeping me from doing decent speed runs. The fact that I’d like to complete one HCO per class before the NS is pushed to 13, for one, and this trophy run. I don’t foresee this new event stuff helping at all.
At least this trophy run got me to level 12, so I can keep Ambidextrous Funkslinging. Maybe it’ll get me to 14 so I can keep Smooth Movements, but I doubt it.
I’ve been playing Cawd’s account as well. Completed the necessary HC Pastamancer and Sauceror runs in a reasonable amount of time (not exactly great, but good enough), but the frustratingness of the late game is getting on my nerves, so now I’m doing two Seal Clubber runs to at least have an auto-hit combat skill. After this, I’ll do two Turtle Tamer runs for Sympathy and Empathy, and the Pastamancer one for Leash.
After that, Cawd can play his own account again, though I’m not sure he’ll want to. Him lazy.

Didn’t end up going to the Wheel thing. Maarten wasn’t going, apparently, and the rest of them definitely aren’t worth leaving the house for.
Thomas called me a few times, presumably to ask where I was, didn’t answer.
Apparently there’s another thing this Saturday that Maarten will be going to, but meh. Can’t be bothered. They’re only inviting me because I have more money to spend on booze than they do anyway.

I guess blocking all of them on MSN and removing them from my contacts wasn’t enough of a hint that I don’t like them. >.>
I guess I’ll go. It’s not like I have anything better to do, and they did go out of their way to invite me. And Maarten’s going to be there. He’s decent, and it’s been ages since I talked to him.
Anne-Laure’s also going, though, apparently. Dunno.
But yeah. We’ll see how it turns out. Not going to be too long anyway, seeing as how we’re old people now who need plenty of sleep. If nothing else, at least Haplo gets to make fun of me for being drunk again.

“You mean…what has Cordelia to do with it?” Levin asked timidly, forgetting that the fantasia was supposed to represent King Lear. “Cordelia comes in…see here!” said Pestsov, tapping his finger on the satiny surface of the program he held in his hand and passing it to Levin. Only then Levin recollected the title of the fantasia, and made haste to read in the Russian translation the lines from Shakespeare that were printed on the back of the program. “You can’t follow it without that,” said Pestsov, addressing Levin, as the person he had been speaking to had gone away, and he had no one to talk to. In the _entr’acte_ Levin and Pestsov fell into an argument upon the merits and defects of music of the Wagner school. Levin maintained that the mistake of Wagner and all his followers lay in their trying to take music into the sphere of another art, just as poetry goes wrong when it tries to paint a face as the art of painting ought to do, and as an instance of this mistake he cited the sculptor who carved in marble certain poetic phantasms flitting round the figure of the poet on the pedestal. “These phantoms were so far from being phantoms that they were
There was a bit about penis enlargement as well, but it was on a GIF in the attachment. I approve of this absurdist spambot movement.

Today, I trimmed my facial hair for the first time. :O
Usually I just shave everything off once every six months or so and just let it grow back, but my mom bought a trimmer thing and insisted I try before my dad used it to trim his nosehairs.
My grandfather is still in the hospital, and my aunt visited him today. She asked the nurse if he was allowed champagne.
No, I don’t think you realise how ridiculous this is.
Imagine: an 84-year-old man, in Intensive Care, laying in bed with three IVs connected to his throat and a bedpan between his legs, being treated for an inflamed esophagus and four ulcers, and her first thought is “You know what you need? A nice glass of champagne!”.
Yeah.
That’s almost literally what she said, too (only in Dutch). She was offended the nurse looked at her as if she was insane.
My aunt is really special.

People who think of atheism as just another religion annoy me. Way to completely ignore everything every atheist has ever told you on the subject.
I guess maybe that isn’t fair. Some atheists are just as retarded as some religious fundamentalists. *shrug*

My grandfather’s in the hospital now. He has been for a while now. Two weeks, I think.
Started out with some kind of inflammation of the esophagus, which I think was blamed on him not eating enough. Earlier today, apparently, he was diagnosed with four minor ulcers.
Apparently he’s recovering, though I’m not sure he wants to.
Old people are borky.
