Mmhm

I don’t know why people like Pedro Almodóvar so much, other than because his movies tend to involve nudity and whatnot. I watched ¡Átame! today, and it’s just incredibly boring.

I also bought John Allen Paulos’ Innumeracy. I recognised the title because it came up in the comments to this post at Good Math, Bad Math.
There needs to be an equivalent term for a complete inability to understand anything related to computers. “Ininformaticy” just doesn’t sound right.

I skipped Java to buy those, which shouldn’t surprise anyone.
General apathy towards the KHL curriculum seems to be pretty widespread, to the point where most teachers actually hate their classes more than I do. I hate them because we never learn anything new, since the lowest common denominator style of teaching means even moss should be able to get a passing grade, so it can’t be too complicated, but they mostly seem to hate them because they genuinely don’t understand a lot of the stuff they’re teaching. I didn’t think that was even possible.

But yeah. I went to Systeemanalyse today. The class started at 14:10 (forty minutes after the last class ended), so I was there at 13:50, because I wanted to get something to drink first. At the KUL, that would be the time the first people would start arriving. By 14:10, the classroom was still empty, and I wandered back down to see if maybe it had been cancelled. It hadn’t been, so I went back up and taunted the pigeons for a bit.
The first students started arriving at 14:20. The teacher herself arrived ten minutes later, and spent another fifteen minutes fiddling with the overhead projector she didn’t end up using. In the end, she’d also quit fifteen minutes early, so our 90-minute class was reduced to roughly forty minutes, in which she just recapped what we’d seen last time.
Seriously, when even I start complaining about work ethic…

Anyway. Sorry ’bout the lack of posts with actual content, but what with basically inverting my sleep schedule after two weeks of easter break I’m too tired to be coherent.
Doggies.

Doggies!

Argh, lowest common denominator. It’s probably one of the worst things about school.

    You around? You ok?

Hmmm. I can see this becoming — really annoying nagging whenever you take a blog break. I don’t meant to nag! I just mean that even though you didn’t pull your blog, after that cryptic post I’m still wondering about you.
